ADDERALL - ADD Drug or Mother's Little Helper?

Whoever thought that "Mother's Little Helper" was a Valium or a pain killer was sorely mistaken.  If I wanted to chill my mind and relax, I would......well, chill and relax.  You know, maybe actually sit and watch a show.  What a concept!  NO, leave the Valium to those who could use it: Teachers and Politicians.  What I need is something that will help me focus, give me the energy to accomplish the thousand things on my "MUST DO" list and...well, lets face it, help me lose 10 lbs and look kick ass! in my jeans.

What is going to do all of that you ask?  Hellllooooooo Adderall!  Sure, it might be made to control ADD in children, but it should be marketed as an energy boost for aging parents who no longer produce energy naturally.  Call it Doitall for adults.  And where can you get this miracle drug you might ask?  Well, unless you have a child with ADD from whom you can snatch a pill or two, (not advisable and just bad parenting) you're going to have to be creative and ask for it yourself.  Just MAKE SURE you have the appropriate symptoms to justify a prescription from your doc.  Do the research, but it may just be worth the extra effort.

In the "Drug Information" sheet it states that it may help increase the ability to pay attention and stay focused.  It also states that this product is a combination of stimulants (amphetamine and dextroamphetamine) and is thought to work by restoring the balance of certain natural substances (neurotransmitters) in the brain.  One of the side effects is loss of appetite and weight loss.  Hmmmmm.  How can anything that has those side effects not be worth taking the extra effort to look into?  Now, am I saying this should be a lifestyle?  I don't know, maybe? Maybe not?  But what I am saying is that in today's "lifestyles of the bitch and shameless", we no longer live in a time where moms just want to go into a coma and shut out their lives.  Parents are now OVER-INVOLVED and it takes a frickin' lot of work to be and stay that involved.  We could use a little help here.

Well, at least here is a good recipe that won't add too much to that butt of yours.  It's only 289 Calories per serving and has a whole 35.6 grams of protein.  YUM.

Cilantro-Lime Chicken with Avacado Salsa

Chicken:
2 tblsp minced fresh cilantro
2 1/2 tblsp fresh lime juice
1 1/2 tblsp olive oil
4 (6-ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1/4 tsp salt
cooking spray

Salsa:
1 cup chopped plum tomato (about 2)
2 tblsp finely chopped onion
2 tsp fresh lime juice
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 avocado, peeled and finely chopped

1. To prepare chicken, combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl; toss and let stand 3 minutes.  Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade.   Sprinkle chicken evenly with salt.  Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat.  Coat pan with cooking spray.  Add chicken to pan; cook 6 minutes on each side or until done.
2. To prepare salsa, combine tomato and next 4 ingredients (through pepper) in a medium bowl.  Add avocado; stir gently to combine.  Serve salsa over chicken and serve with saffron rice.

Easy, tasty and very fresh.  You'll like it, it will fill you up and it won't fill out your ass!

  2. Oh, don't watch Housewives, so obviously didn't see that part. Can't we just find something that doesn't have crappy side effects? Why must the good always come with the bad??? Does it do that to kids with ADD too??

  4. It is amusing that you actually brag about drug abuse in a public forum. I don't think I would brag about taking speed and call it a good thing to the whole world.
